About Nithyam

We are not a factory.

We do not outsource.

Every calendar that leaves our studio has been touched by the person who made it.

What Nithyam Means

நி

Eternal - Never Ends.

த்

Everyday - Every Morning.

Constant - Same Ritual.

ம்

Forever - One Purchase.

Nithyam was started by Sethuraj N in Karamadai, Coimbatore. We make a single product - a handcrafted wooden perpetual calendar - in one small studio, by the founder, who works with wood every day.

The idea started with a simple frustration: every calendar Sethuraj owned was disposable, and none of them were in a language that felt like home.

Nithyam is the answer to both problems at once - an object built to outlast the year it was bought in, in a script that belongs to the person on the wall.

The Studio

Our workshop is in Karamadai - a small town 25 km from Coimbatore. We cut, sand, and finish every board here. Each set of markers is hand-turned and hand-painted. Nothing is bought ready-made.

The Maker

Sethuraj started Nithyam because he wanted one object that carried his language, lasted his lifetime, and did not need to be thrown away. The studio began in 2026. This is the first product. There will be others - but only when each one is ready.

How It's Made

(1) Sourcing

ChatGPT Image Jul 19, 2026, 06_26_33 PM.png

Plywood and finishing materials sourced from workshops around Coimbatore.

(2) Cutting

ChatGPT Image Jul 19, 2026, 06_32_20 PM.png

Each 60cm board is cut and sanded by hand in the Karamadai studio.

(3) Marking

ChatGPT Image Jul 19, 2026, 06_49_55 PM.png

Every disc marker is hand-turned and hand-painted - day, date, and month, in your chosen script.

(4) Finishing

A final check before it leaves the studio. Nothing ships until it has been looked at.

What We Believe

Craft Over Convenience

We make slowly and carefully. Every piece takes the time it needs. No shortcuts.

Culture Over Generic

Your language belongs on your wall. Not a translation. The real script, every morning.

Permanence Over Disposable

One object for a lifetime. No replacements, no waste, no reason to ever buy another.

Studio Over
Factory

One man. One workshop in Karamadai. Every calendar touched by the hands that made it.

Why A
Perpetual Calendar Matters

01

It Never Expires.

A paper calendar dies on 31 December. This one works every year, forever, without change.

02

It Makes Time Visible.

Moving three markers each morning is five seconds of presence before the day begins.

03

It Carries Your Language.

Your mother tongue on your wall every morning is identity, not decoration. It stays.

04

It Belongs On Every Wall.

You will move homes. Repaint. Redecorate. This object fits every wall you will ever own.

Every morning, for the rest of your life.

One object. Three markers. Five seconds. That is the whole ritual.

We built Nithyam so you could have something worth repeating.
